This Is What You Do Song Chords

This Is What You Do Song Chords

Well, I know I haven’t been on posting in a little while now, guys, but if you’ve logged onto my Hear-chords blog lately (www.heartchords.blogspot.com), you know I’ve had a lot going on in my life.  But here are some more beginner guitar chords for you all.  This is one of my favorite songs right now and my “special” song actually.  The chords for this song are really, really easy- basically just repeats itself- and although, this isn’t the real chords for it, I’m sure, it sounds pretty good to my ear at least.  Have fun!  :)

Bless the Broken Road Song Chords

Bless the Broken Road Song Chords

Well, everyone, here are some more beginner guitar chords for you!  These are the chords that in my Heart-chords post Stepping Up (www.heartchords.blogspot.com) I promised were coming soon for the song “Bless the Broken Road” by country trio Rascal Flatts.  For a few words about the chords and the fret I chose to place my capo on, refer back to my post Jonny Diaz Song Chords (Jan. 2013).  Again, I picked this song out by ear so there may be some imperfections.  Also if there’s a song you’d like beginner guitar chords for but either you can’t pick it out yourself or you can’t find accurate chords for it elsewhere online, leave a request in a comment box, and if I’m familiar with the song, I’ll see what I can do for you.  And one more note.  Playing an Am used to be real pill for me because that chord always buzzed for some reason when I tried playing it.  Needless to say, I dreaded Am’s.  If you have the same problem with this chord, try the tip I offer in my Jonny Diaz Song Chords post, and if it doesn’t help, than you can substitute the C’s in parenthesis for the Am’s.  It sounds basically the same in this song and doesn’t detract anything from it.  Enjoy!

Bless the Broken Road
By Rascal Flatts

Capo: 4 , 5, 6, or 7

Verse 1:
G                   Am (C)
I set out on a narrow way
   D              Em
Many years ago
    G                 Am (C)
Hoping I would find true love
    D                       Em
Along the broken road

   Am (C)           D
But I got lost a time or two
Am (C)                                Em
Wiped my brow and kept pushin’ through
G                          Am (C)
I couldn’t see how every sign
     D                        G
Pointed straight to you

Chorus:

        Am (C)         G
Every long lost dream
                      D         Em
Led me to where you are
                  Am (C)        G
Others who broke my heart
                             Em       D
They were like northern stars
                Am (C)     G
Pointing me on my way
                   D      Em
Into your loving arms

                   Am (C)   Em
This much I know is true
           G                     Am (C)
That God blessed the broken road
         D                           G
That led me straight to you

Verse 2:

                          Am (C)
I think about the years I spent
  D                  Em
Just passin’ through
       G                       D
I’d like to have the time I lost
      Am (C)              Em
And give it back to you

     Am (C)                     D
But you just smile and take my hand
Am (C)                               Em
You’ve been there, you understand
G                       Am (C)
It’s all part of a grander plan
   D                    G
That is comin’ true

(Chorus)

Ending:

                      Am (C)   G
Now I’m just rolling home
                D        Em
Into my lover’s arms
                   Am (C)   Em
This much I know is true
           G                     Am (C)
That God blessed the broken road
         D                           G
That led me straight to you
         Em                    Am (C)
That God blessed the broken road
         D                           G
That led me straight to you

Our God Song Chords

Our God Song Chords

Well, everyone, here are some more beginner guitar chords for you, and I’ve got a lot more chords to share with you guys!  I just need to find the time to type them up.  For a few words about the chords here and the fret I chose to place my capo on, refer back to my post Jonny Diaz Song Chords. Additionally, if you’re looking for more songs similar to Chris Tomlin’s check out Matt Redman’s website where he has PDF files of guitar chords for some of his songs available for free download: www.mattredman.com.  On the music the beginner chords are in parenthesis listed after the more advanced chords.  A favorite of mine is 10,000 Reasons, the title track for the 10,000 Reasons album.
