More Jonny Diaz Song Chords

More Jonny Diaz Song Chords

Well, everyone, here are some more beginner guitar chords for you!  For a few words about the chords and the fret I chose to place my capo on, refer back to my post Jonny Diaz Song Chords.  Again, I picked this song out by ear so there may be some imperfections.  In fact, the bridge in Scars still sounds a little off to me, but it was the closest combination I could find with the limited chords I know.  Also if there’s a song you’d like beginner guitar chords for but either you can’t pick it out yourself or you can’t find accurate chords for it elsewhere online, leave a request in a comment box, and if I’m familiar with the song, I’ll see what I can do for you.

 Verse 1:

 G

Any other day

From what lies ahead

But right here I stay

     C

Chosen to remain

 Em                               D

Right where I’ve been led

G

I cannot see the end

C

I cannot pretend

Em                           D

The seas are calm ahead

  G

And the only thing

I can ever cling

Em                           D

To is what You’ve said

Pre-chorus:

           G                           D

The clouds assume command

There’s no turning back

                         G    C

I need You to hold me

’Cause You know me

                 Em                    D

And You know that I’m afraid

                C

Oh, I’d rather go round

                  Em

But I’m following now

             G

So I’ll trust

                                 Em

That we’ll make it through

                           C

Just help me remember

                    D

I’m never alone

                               G    D

I’m walking with You

Verse 2:

    G

What is still unknown

  C

Has caused my fear to grow

But with Your embrace

I know I can face

Em                      D

All that’s facing me

(Pre-chorus)

(Chorus)

Chorus 2:

                         G  Am

Scars
By Jonny Diaz
Capo: 3

Verse 1:

 C                                             G                                       D

She holds for dear life to the ends of the sleeves in her hands

       C                                  G                                    D

Covering up lies that she wrote with a razor-sharp pen

               Em                                  C

And the sting of the blade is no match for the pain

                 G                                D

Of the loneliness she’s goin’ through

     C                    D

We’ve all been there too

Chorus 1:

             G                                        D

Praise God we don’t have to hide scars

                     Am                                           Em

They just strengthen our wounds and they soften our hearts

              C                                        D

They remind us of where we have been

               Em

Not who we are

                Am

So praise God

             D                                         G

Praise God we don’t have to hide scars

Verse 2:

                C                                     G                                           D

You can still see the mark on his hand where there once was a ring

                         C                           G                                          D

He watched decades of history dissolve when she wanted to leave

              Em                               C

And the hole that it left there inside of his chest

           G                                    D

Is a canyon a thousand miles deep

       C                            D

We all know how that feels

(Chorus)

Bridge:

           Em                                          Am

There once was a King Who so burdened with grief

     G                                   D

Walked into death so that we could find peace

      Em                                     Am

He rose up with scars on His hands and His feet

                G                 D

And by them we are healed

 C                         D

By them we are healed

                  G                                        D

So praise God we don’t have to hide scars

                   C                                Em

Yeah, we know His are covering ours

Chorus 2:

             G                                        D

Praise God we don’t have to hide scars

                     Am                                           Em

They just strengthen our wounds and they soften our hearts

              C                                        D

They remind us of where we have been

               Em

Not who we are

                Am

So praise God

             D

Praise God

        C                                 Em

Oh, His scars are covering ours

                Am

So praise God

             D                                         G

Praise God we don’t have to hide scars
